Trying to flesh out a robot concept today, general trudging to tunes, always a strong look.
I want to make the him all black ink and bleedy like the legs, I need to clock how to make more mechanical movements too.

oh, and look at THIS!

We're learning to use after effects at the minute, I'm trying to make something for a soundtracked short (I was thinking of using the 3rd by metronomy). S'aight s'pose, but I want to make something more jerky, abrasive and busy.

Two things here, The first is some preliminary playing around stuff for a new digital media/ after-effects project we've been set Just thinking about layers and texture for now, pretty derivative but hopefully it'll give me a feel for what i can do with the program. The second picture is one of my five finals for the previous narrative brief, I'll put them all up in order, avec context soon.

Here's the finished piece for our visual explanation brief, I pretty much abandoned the vis com focus and made a (ahem) "psychogeographical map" of north London. To be honest the way it relates to my own imagined/remembered London isn't quite what I'd hoped for, and it should certainly be a lot lot bigger, but I do like the feel of it. One to return to I reckon...
