We've been asked to create a few pages of "graphic novel" (excuse the "s, I wasn't sure if four pages counts...) interpreting T.S Eliot's the wasteland. It's all a bit heavy but an interesting challenge, still trying to work out how to render it, I really like working in pen and ink but I'm finding it hard to be consistent...

I really like the idea of making low-fi digital images, somehow injecting some humanity back into digital work using shittty technique. I like the timbre of this image but even the the low res version of the guru picture in the post below, I think has a certain warmth, as though it's a much resampled version of a much older picture, or something weird you found on your computer or online...

Alex has been making some 'orrible gabba and asked me to come up with something to put on the myspace (I'll put up a link when he's set it up). Monsters seemed the obvious choice and here are some first ideas...
